JOB SUMMARY

The fuel truck operator’s responsibilities includedriving,physicaleffort and record keeping. This position requires the ability to climb on and off equipment repeatedly throughout the shift. Thefuel truck operator will work in a manner that ensures every one’s safety. The fuel truck driver understands that driving is only a portion of the job.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fuel equipment on various job sites throughout the GTA
  • Properly track (using fob system) litres of fuel supplied to equipment
  • Properly track equipment hours when fueling
  • Print reports out at end of day
  • Accurately fill out / submit daily timesheets.
  • Maintain contact with Fermar personnel on job sites
  • Agrees to the protection rules and policies in transporting, handling and suppling procedures and methods of fuel
  • Properly fill out all required paperwork when operating Fuel Truck
  • Evaluating hazards of locations where equipment is
  • Travelling and acclimatizing to all types of seasons, whether day or night
  • Observe safe driving skills pertaining to defensive and distracted driving. The health and safety of our employees and members of the public are of the utmost importance you will observe extra caution where warranted whether due to weather conditions, road design, e.g. hills, curves etc. or due to congestion whether its vehicular or pedestrian traffic
  • Participate in and follow all of Fermar’s health and safety policies and practices
  • Report any truck issues to Shop Manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced work environment
  • Physically and mentally strong to manage a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to navigate through-out GTA
  • DZ License
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods training
  • Knowledgeable understanding of CVOR
Working Conditions
  • Predominately outside work
  • Days and occasional night or weekend
